It's Just a Game

The party game for everyone — quick, silly mini games for family and friends, ages 8 to 80. No console, no cards to lose down the sofa: just the phones already in everyone's pockets.

How it works

1

One person starts a game and pings everyone a link — iMessage, WhatsApp, however your family nags each other.

2

Everyone joins with a tap. The wheel spins, someone picks the game, and you're off — point at places, hide on a grid, call the cards, out-remember each other. Rounds take a couple of minutes.

3

Win rounds to take the crown. Then run it back — the app remembers your crew, so the next game is two taps away.

The games

🎂

Blow It Out

Blow at your phone to snuff the birthday candles. Most out wins — nothing recorded, just how hard you puff.

🎨

Colour Clash

The word "RED" printed in blue. Tap the colour it's printed in, not the word — fast as you can. Your brain will fight you.

🧭

Compass Duel

Spin on the spot to face each heading as it's called. Fastest through all five wins.

🔓

Crack the Safe

Twist your phone like a safe dial to spin in the combo. Fastest to crack it wins — steady hands only.

👀

Eyeball It

A cloud of dots flashes up, then vanishes. How many were there? Closest guess takes the point.

🥁

Feel the Beat

A rhythm buzzes through your phone — no beat shown. Tap it back from feel alone. Closest to the beat wins.

🗿

Freeze!

Musical statues with your phone. Dance it on MOVE, go dead still on FREEZE. Moving on a freeze costs you.

🌍

Globetrotter

A famous landmark, a world map, fifteen seconds. Drop your pin where on Earth you think it is — closest wins.

🪙

Gold Rush

Same coin board, one secret pick each. Alone on a square? It's yours. Clash with someone? Nobody scores.

🙈

Hide & Seek

Secretly pick a square on the grid, then take turns searching. The last player left hidden wins the round.

🃏

Higher or Lower

A card is dealt. Call the next one higher or lower — wrong and you're out. Last one standing scores.

🎵

Hum It

Listen to the note, then hum it back. Closest to the pitch wins — a proper test for the musical ones.

Lightning

Wait for it… TAP! Reaction measured to the millisecond. Jump early and it's a false start.

🗣️

Loudest

On GO, shout as loud as you can. Loudest wins — nothing recorded, just how loud you are.

🎯

Marble Maze

Tilt your phone to roll the ball through the maze to the exit. A fresh maze every time — fastest to escape wins.

👁️

Odd One Out

A grid of colours in matching pairs — except one. Find the colour that stands alone, fastest.

Perfect Circle

Draw the roundest circle you can — one finger, one stroke. Everyone's wobbly attempts revealed side by side.

🫗

Pour It

Tip your phone either way to pour, and stop at the line without spilling. Closest to the target fill wins.

🎡

Push Your Luck

The pot wheel spins — five numbers, two skulls. Ride it or bank your share before a bust burns the lot.

📍

Put Your Finger On It

A bare map with no names, a place to find, 15 seconds. Drop your pin closest to its capital.

🔁

Repeat After Me

Watch the pads flash, then tap the sequence back from memory. It grows every turn. One slip and you're out.

🧭

Sense of Direction

A place appears — point your arrow at it from where you're standing. GPS knows the truth. Closest bearing takes the point.

📳

Shake It Off

Ten seconds. Shake your phone like mad — grip it tight! Most shakes wins.

🥊

Showdown

Rock, paper, scissors — against the whole table at once. Score a win for every player you beat.

📐

Size It Up

A shape flashes up, then vanishes. Draw it back at the same size from memory. Closest to the original wins.

🔢

Sort Circuit

Nine numbers scattered on screen. Tap 1 to 9 as fast as you can — mistakes cost a second.

🫧

Spirit Level

Tilt to keep the bubble between two markers that drift faster and faster. Longest you can stay in wins.

🎯

Spot Recall

A handful of dots flash, then vanish. Tap where each one was. Closest to the real spots wins.

🖐️

Steady Hand

Keep your finger inside the drifting, shrinking ring. Slip out and you're done — longest hold wins.

👏

Tap Frenzy

Five seconds. Tap like mad. Most taps wins — pure, glorious chaos.

⏱️

Ten Seconds

The clock counts up… then hides. Keep counting in your head and tap at exactly the target. Nerves of steel win.

🎪

Tightrope

Tilt to keep your walker on the swaying rope — and no jolts, they wobble. Furthest along wins.

✏️

Trace It

A winding line appears. Trace along it with your finger. Closest to the line wins.

🚦

Traffic Light

Tap like mad on green, stop the moment it turns amber. Tap on red and you're out. Most taps in 30 seconds wins.

Easy for everyone

No wifi? No problem. "Play nearby" connects the group's phones directly by Bluetooth — perfect for planes, campsites and anywhere the internet isn't.

Nothing to learn — every game explains itself in one sentence, and every turn is over in seconds. Grandkids and grandparents on equal footing. There's even a practice mode to rehearse any game solo before family night.

No accounts, no sign-ups, no ads. Open the link, type your name once, play.

Simplify — for the small ones

Six-year-old playing against teenagers? Switch Simplify on for any player when you set up the game and pick how much help they get: A little help, A big help or Basically cheating.

Every game joins in, in its own way. The compass glows around roughly the right direction. Hide & Seek quietly rules out empty squares. The map circles the area to look in. The next number lights up in Sort Circuit. At the top level, Higher or Lower even whispers the actual answer.

And it's a secret — nothing on anyone else's screen shows who's getting help. The little ones just seem to be having a suspiciously good day.
